The Age Of Aquarius
I recently found out that the 1st January 2008 is the official beginning of the long-awaited Age of Aquarius, according to astronomical and astrological calculations and observations.
This is good news indeed, as the Age of Aquarius is supposed to usher in a new era of humanity's evolution in which we each take full responsibility for our beliefs and actions, in which we choose love not fear, and in which we work towards a harmonious world of peace, beauty and abundance for all.
Courage To Make The Change
But I have a feeling that this new world of a higher order will not happen as if by magic overnight! I have a feeling that we will each have to ask ourselves if we truly want to make the change and if we truly have the courage to make the leap from our heads to our hearts.
It is a change that we are asked to make in every aspect of our lives and it surely requires that we totally change the way we see ourselves, each other and the world.
For too long it seems we have been looking through the lens of our egos, judging ourselves, others and the world as either good or bad. From the perspective of ego, everything is separate and so we have created a world of separation in which humanity is split into rich and poor, powerful and disempowered, villains and victims. But this perspective has only led to fear, greed, struggle and war.
We Are All Manifestations of God
The new frequency of the Aquarian Vision of a United Humanity urges us to see the world anew through the eyes of the heart. From this perspective, we are all one and there is no separation. No-one is better or worse, no-one is good or bad: we are all aspects of Source that created us and we are all manifestations of God.
This is a radical way of seeing things as it requires us to make a complete revolution in consciousness. In other words, it means that consciousness "turns around and turns within." Instead of looking outside of ourselves for what we think we need to get from others or the world, it means we look inside for the answers. For it is in the depth of our hearts that we find the true treasure which is the jewel of our God-essence.
Who we are is so much more than our bodies, our thoughts and our feelings. We are Beings of Infinite Magnitude and God's Divine Spark resides in each of us.
Choosing to open our hearts wide to embrace everyone and everything - even when we would rather recoil in horror - has the power to uplift our perception to God's vantage point. And surely in God's world, everyone and everything is loved equally?
Imagine...
I often imagine a world in which all children are loved as if they were our own, in which all people are given the opportunity to express their true creativity, in which resources are shared fairly and abundance flows freely.
In this new world, every human being recognises their own divinity and so true respect and harmony can flower naturally. When I imagine this world, I see human beings living their lives with a sense of purpose, as if each moment is a prayer of gratitude, as if each action is sacred.
It seems to me that it doesn't so much matter what we do but rather how we do it. It's whether we are fully present in the fullness of our being and whether our hearts are softly open to whatever is going on around us.
Do we tighten when we don't like what we see or do we soften into spacious acceptance? Do we shrink from what might challenge us or do we stay resolutely present however difficult the circumstances?
Love Or Fear
The power to choose love over fear in every moment is in our hands and yet we do not always make this choice. In today's world of increasing chaos, it seems that the choice we make is crucial. Choose fear and we will tumble into an uncertain future in which our very survival is threatened; choose love and we just may transform our reality in time to see a glorious rebirth of humanity.
The new frequency of the Aquarian Age means we can expect to see miracles when we choose love. Love has the power to transform our inner and outer worlds, to heal our emotional wounds and cleanse our minds of subconscious agendas and self-limiting beliefs. Love has the power to create a total spiritual revolution … and maybe that's the only thing that will save us from ourselves?!
The Divine Spark
A total spiritual revolution means that we see God in everyone and everything: all people, all living creatures, all trees, all stones and all stars. What's more, God resides in the heart of every action, every thought, every feeling and every breath.
Recognizing the divine spark that animates each moment brings God down to Earth and heals the separation between matter and spirit. And this seed of recognition has the ability to create a living Paradise. It's a "quiet revolution" of immense power!
As 2008 takes off, I feel that more and more people are willing to wake up from the spell of ego and live life from an expanded perspective with more presence, more joy, more compassion and a renewed purpose.
I get the sense that consensus reality is beginning to show cracks through which we can get a glimpse of the bigger picture and that more people are more ready than ever to make a connection to the divine. I get the sense that NOW is the time to say YES and join the revolution in consciousness that is about to sweep the planet!
